A couple of years ago there was a bad locust swarm in large parts of SE US where I'm at.  A local bird sanctuary came out to the feilds and released a ton of birds who immediately had lunch, dinner, and leftovers.

I'm sure I saw a 'news clip'.....years ago, where Chinese (??) farmers used oodles of ducks, to try and 'decimate' locust swarms.
Don't think it could have been that successful.

Anyone else remember that ?

Decimation against a locust swarm wouldn't get you very far.
