Does anyone have a good colour suggestion for the Italian artillery pieces in the First World War?

Not sure if this site will be helpful, but it does show a vintage picture of what looks like a mountain gun. Hard to tell the exact color though.

Here's a better picture of the mountain gun from above.

This collector figure model shows the gun ot be a sand color.

This site shows some vehicles in a greenish gray color.

And one last one I found. This shows two large guns also in a gray-ish color. it is hte 4th picture down on hte left.

Hope this is of some help,

The story I get from a number of first hand observers is that WWII Italians were no cowards, but had no enthusiasm for fighting what they didn't consider a war worth winning. I'd call that intelligence and integrity, myself.

Admittedly, I've also heard the stereotype comment on Italian soldiers from a friend who's been one.

The Italians weren't bad soldiers, just had bad leaders. They surrender en masse during Compass because the British cut off their water supplies.
