This seems like a totally rush to judgement (in the best traditions of humans since the dawn time).

That said we ALL know who did it!

Not guilty.... I voted for Nobby.

(I'm beginning to think this just might be one of those VERY weird coincidences...(Come on Phil..don't be daft....You know who it was)......I haven't had anything else from Amazon, today...Tomorrow...Who knows ?)

Techno, Have you asked your good lady wife?

She could well be cursing Amazon for not delivering her plasters?

No, Nobby...We just go down to the pharmacy in the village when I need plasters, while I drip blood all over their floor.
This is quite rare, as we have a cupboard full of the damn things in readiness.

Are you sure? Wives are prone to to occasional uncharacteristic decision making. My (now ex-)wife popped out for a bag of winegums and a sunday paper and came back in a new car.

Perhaps after a long and irksome day, you suggested "let's get plastered" and she misheard?

Could it be an early Christmas present that the good Mrs von Techno was hoping to stash away from your child-like enthusiam?

Another, and genuine, not made up possibility, is that you were perusing Philately Quarterly, the magazine for the discerning gentleman stamp collector, and opined through a mouthful of  Welsh cake (the incongruous juxtaposition of nomenclature and composition of which says all you need to know about the Principality) and suggested "let's get some first day covers". Obviously this could have come out as "first aid covers". The long surfing Mrs T would have checked her marriage vows for an opt out (I know for a fact she has a laminated a6 copy in her pinny pocket at all times for just such a situation) and decided that this fell under "honour and obey" and toddled off to Amazon.  It could have happened that way.

You're just saying that, because I left an abusive message on your answer service last night, Nobby.

(I can't wait for the postman to arrive today.....Ooooooh....The excitement !.........Yes .....I do lead a sad life.)

I have an answer service?  Shocked

I genuinely did not know that. Wonder how I access it? There's probably 10 years of unheard messages.

Oh! Maybe she did ring me backCry
