From the WW1 British range - what are the dimensions of the Male Mark IV tank (length and width, height isn't a concern)? Like all right-thinking people, I prefer to base my vehicles; would the tank fit on a 40mmx40mm base? How about a 60mmx60mm base if not? Or would I need something like a 60mmx80mm base?

Ditto for a Russian Tachanka.

At about 26ft 6" long it has to be some 50mm+ long, surely?

Model is about 23mm wide (including sponsons) and 52mm long.

I have mine based on 50mm x 30mm bases, which are a pretty good fit. There is a tiny overlap at the front, but due to the shape of the tracks its no big deal.

60x60mm would be far too big - 60x30mm would work, and give a margin round all sides.

Thanks both of you, looks like if I use 40mm base widths, I can put it on a 40x50 or 40x60 quite nicely.

I don;t suppose anyone also knows the dimensions for a tachanka?

A 50x25mm would do the trick.

Excellent! Thanks Leon. Now all I have to do is work out the finances and see when I can place an order...
