Why are the German map symbols in red? As I understand it, throughout WW2, the Allies were red and the Germans black or blue on tactical maps.

Presumably it's using the "modern" standard for NATO countries, is written from the Allied perspective & therefore with blue as friendly/own troops and the Germans as enemy in red? As opposed to being an actual historical reproduction of "at the time" images...

It's certainly using NATO rather than period tactical symbols
