I'd definitely buy armies from these books to add to Warband. The armies added to the Warband Armies Lists.

Seanchan: Warriors, Cavalry, linked Sul'dam and Damane,  Grolm, Torm, Corlm, Lopar, S'redit, Raken, To'raken.  This would be a great army to field.
Aiel: Far Dareis Mai (Maidens of the Spear), Male societies, Wise women,
Trollocs and Myrddraal
Ogier
Wolves and Dark Hounds
Children of the Light army.  Probably could be assembled from current releases and released as an Army Pack.
Matt and Perrin's armies. Probably could be assembled from current releases and released as an Army Pack.
Various countries armies could be assembled from current releases and released as an Army Pack.
Sisters from the White Tower and Asha' Men from the Black Tower.

A set of flags including the Dragon Banner, Band of the Red Hand, Wolf banner, Aes Sedai banner, and the flags of the various countries and armies.

I'd be hard pressed to not assemble the complete WOT armies.

I've done a WoT Shadowspawn "Hordes of the Things" army in the past.

I used Haedusmen (http://www.pendraken.co.uk/Fantasy-c21/Haedusmen-sc154/) for Trollocs used as Warband in HotT.

Vampires (http://www.pendraken.co.uk/FU13-p5092/) for Myrddraal which I used as Blades or Clerics or Heroes in HotT as whim dictated.

Warwolves (FG6) and Giant Warwolves (FG10) were Darkhounds, used as Beasts in HotT

Giant Worms (http://www.pendraken.co.uk/Fantasy-c21/Giant-Worms-sc211/) were Jumara, used as Behemoths in HotT

A Wood Elf Hero (http://www.pendraken.co.uk/FE10-p5116/) with his sword replaced by a staff was a Dreadlord, Magician General in HotT.

Beggars with daggers (http://www.pendraken.co.uk/FBG3-p4811/) suitably painted were Grey Men and Gargoyles (http://www.pendraken.co.uk/FBG12-p4820/) were Graghkar, both Lurkers in HotT

The Warband section probably has more recent versions of some of those.

Hope that might provide inspiration.

Wheel of Time?

"The Wheel of Time is a series of high fantasy novels written by American author James Oliver Rigney, Jr. under his pen name of Robert Jordan. Originally planned as a six-book series, The Wheel of Time spanned fourteen volumes, in addition to a prequel novel and a companion book. Jordan began writing the first volume, The Eye of the World, in 1984, and it was published in January, 1990"  Wikipaedia

It's a cracking series, but he slowed up and went deep into wandering the world for about four books and a decade plus real time after Lord of Chaos (book 6). Then he died, and Brandon Sanderson stepped in to finish the last three books...

Really good door stop sized fantasy!

I guess you'd use Tuareg or Bedouin for Aeil, and "normal" high medievil/early renaissance figures for the humans? Seanchan figures might be awkward, don't think anyone does "vaguely Chinese-ish with insect helmets" in 10mm :D

It's the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan and Robert Jordan & Brandon Sanderson.

Could probably find figures for all the armies except for the Seanchan. They would make a great Warband army.

I read the first book in the series but it was just like an inferior plagiarism of the Lord of the Rings. Even down to some scenes. So didn't bother reading on. But maybe it gets better later in the series.

I preferred the Malazan Empire books personally.
