I've been writing some home-brew rules for this period and have been play-testing them quite heavily over the last month. I took some quick snaps of several of these games and thought I'd share them here. Obviously both my scenery and miniatures are incomplete; a shortcoming I am working hard to correct! Buildings are 6mm and the fields are made from 6mm astro-turf. More waffle about this and my rules on the blog.

Looks very nice.

I'm interested in making flexible roads.  Is the mastic you mention something that would be used as a duct sealant?

Yes, I believe it's also called caulk. You want the acrylic variety as the silicone doesn't take paint. There are countless online guides. Here are a couple that I shall be referring to:

Thanks!

As I've started thinking about making terrain, it's become clear that the building trades in the US and UK use totally different languages.

What is finished is looking very good :)

I like the criteria you set before writing the rules and am glad to hear you have managed to stick to them :)

Good discipline to get your rules into 4 pages. That looks a very inviting gaming space.
