Sudanese infantry

I've tried painting up some Early Askari troops (GEA1) for the Omdurman campaign through to the confrontation with the French at Fashoda.  They don't look right at all.  Are there figures with a tarboosh (fez) with no neck flap and jersey rather than a jacket?
