Just heard Chester Bennington has commited suicide. One of my idols when I was still in school.only 41!  :(

I hope she was also known outside of France.

I knew her from "Jules et Jim" but not much else. That said, I recognised the name immediately I heard it on the radio when they announced her death.

Also Hywel Bennet as well, who I remember as Shelley from too long ago to mention.

Robert Hardy was an expert in the longbow as well, seem to remember he did a documentary on the longings a while ago.

Is it just me or are we losing a lot of famous faces this year?

Robert Hardy great in 'All creatures Great & Small' and enjoyed his stuff on the longbow. Hywel Bennet I remember, but damned if I know what tv series!

I remember Hywel Bennet as Ricki Tarr in the amazing TV Series of Timker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy with Alec Guinness.

What a shame! Hardy was a favourite - Siegfried and Cornelius Fudge (plus the longbow stuff). However, at age 91, a pretty good innings, as they say, and a great career.

I liked Glen Campbell. He was one of those country stars along with the likes of Dolly Parton, John Denver, Crystal Gayle and Kenny Rogers who made country popular.


He also knew hopw to play the guitar!
