OK, Techno. I can tell you ALL the dollies you should ever need:

  • Infantry Advancing- slope arms, Port Arms, Trail arms
  • Cavalry - walking/trotting sword or lance(see below)
  • Officer/NCO - Pointing, encouraging, looking smug
  • Artillery (and only artillery) - kneeling
  • Specialist - drummers drumming, buglers bugling, ensign

There you go. If you want to add a bit of variety, you could have advancing (left leg forward) and advancing (right leg forward). That would be useful for irregular armies.

I'm now going to the FSNbunker.

OK, Techno. I can tell you ALL the dollies you should ever need:

  • Infantry - Standing firing, kneeling firing, prone firing, firing on the move, dead
  • Cavalry - Removing stone from horses hoof, standing by horse waiting for something to do, galloping heroically in the wrong direction. No need for a dead pose because "Whoever saw a dead cavalryman."
  • Officer - With map looking lost, Pointing asking are they ours?, Being yelled at by senior officer
  • NCO - Pointing looking exasperated, Ducking, looking smug. May be paired with the officer poses above
  • Artillery (and only artillery) - Standing firing, kneeling firing, sitting having a cuppa
  • Specialist - unit scrounger with some other units boots/ ammo/ weapons, musicians moving a piano to the officers mess, Stand of flags and banners left at base for safety

FIFY :D

The sad thing is that your list is probably the one that will be used.  :(

Thanks, chaps.

Finally finished my T-35, which really is a beast of a tank. I went for the Red Star in the end and a slogan on the turret, both really to make the tank stand out a bit, as just in green it was lacking a certain something.

Steve J

T-28 finished and some British armour additions basecoated and washed.

Two Churchill 95mm tanks finished, with a Crusader AA tank and an armoured car almost there.

Steve J

Crusader AA tank and armoured car finished as planned. Might take a paint from vehicles and do some more units for Pikemen's Lament.

Continuing on Pete's Transylvanians in 15mm, but also finished 5 mounted crossbows in 10mm for Graham, and my modern Brits and Soviets (until the next lot appear)!

Both sides have some horse now, and I've nearly finished a fourth unit of infantry for each side too. Also a few more tin kettles for supporting fire. Gettysburg, here we come.

I do know there were no naval contingents at Gettysburg. Regard this as a protest against Trajanic legionaries in the Gallic wars. crusaders fighting Arab armies, black Numidians, grenadiers with colours, Sengoku armies with five figures and a geisha, and ships of the line with pennants streaming out behind them.

57 18mm cavalry done for a friend, 12 Infantry still to do, then back to that oh so nearly finished 10mm Samurai Army, one unit to finish and the camp, which is still half done.

O Dinas Powys

2mm medieval armies for One Hour Wargames finally completed - basing took far longer than painting  :-<

Now moving on to basing random odds'n'sods for the Paint Off, fingers crossed I might even squeeze some new painting in before the end of the month!

Just need to get a camera and some decent light now  =)
(I know, even though it's fantasy  :o  ;)  )

Armies for the War of the Southern Secession are making good time, though I'm waiting for a last parcel of shinies, and realising that A ) I've painted Berdan's sharpshooters too dark; and B ) that I have to have Rush's Lancers, which means I'll need to make lances and pennants soon.
