I'll be there with Circle Battlegroup as usual, with a 28mm Song of Blades & Heroes set up for participation gaming. Pop by and throw some dice if a quick fantasy skirmish meets your idea of fun :)

From Paul the organiser -

PLEASE NOTE. This years event is being held at the LEASOWES LEISURE CENTRE, Kent Road, Halesowen, B62 8PJ, Sunday 4th December 2016, from 9.30am until 4.30pm

Wyre Forest club will also be there. Our 'official' game is a Steampunk participation game, so before/after you have had a go at toxicpixie's game you can come and have a go at this.

We are also hoping to run a small demo game of the Twilight of the Sun King game - rules and scenario books should be out any day now. We have been working on doing something like toxicpixie has done with a printed terrain map, without much success. Luckily toxicpixie has given some nice tips on how to do this on another thread so hopefully this will happen.

This will hopefully be a 10mm League of Augsburg game or might end up being 2mm ECW or TYW, depending on how the terrain map works.

Ooo, spot on, I'll have to trundle over for a look! Brill on both :)

If I can leave the table in co-members capable hands I might even try & get a go on yours if there's a space ;)

It's John and little Alun, so it'll be fine. Alun likes victimising John, so John will be eager to play other people, and as an ex-teacher Alun can teach the rules no sweat :D

So I'll arrive, set up, then wander round till close ;)

Don't tell 'em!

We have the go ahead on the Twilight game using a printed terrain mat. I will also bring along the 2mm ECW/TYW stuff as I will try to show that as well.

Sounds like a great plan. Go with it, and my lips are sealed.

OK I will try to get the guys to get some shots. There are already some of the figures in this thread - http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,14894.30.html

I think there are more now and also the unpainted ones are painted.

In any case pictures of some sort will follow.

Great stuff and thanks for the link. (Posted on there as king for some more info).

Looks very good in the flesh, as it were!

I still think 2mm replaceable flags is insane, mind ;)

I've put Twiglet on my Xmas list ready for playtesting...

Sorry all for the delay in replying to this, having some technical problems at this end.

Subedai: Hopefully we will get some good pictures up at some point but I will try to take some (bad ones) in the new year.

Toxicpixie: I like doing the insane things :)

OK so I have done a quick set up & taken a few shots. The mat is not for this project but hopefully will help to show what the figures are like.

I set up the Swedes (but not the Saxons) at Breitenfeld facing the Imperialists (but only a selection) at Breitenfeld. This is reduced scale to make it all portable. Hopefully you can see the various types I use -
Infantry: Swedish Infantry brigades, Early Tercios, TYW style tercios and a few detached musketeer groups.
Cavalry: Galloping, Dutch tactics, Swedish tactics, Curiassiers, Arquebusiers. Light Horse

I am afraid the shots are not great but.....

A few overall shots

Some shots of the Swedes

And the Imperialists
