Fellow forum  members, for many years Grumpy Old man (Vic to his friends) has selflessly obliged and befriended forum users.  He has haunted the web, traced down obscure figures, and in the process helped us all up our game.

He knows his period, yet never trolls or gets involved in spates over trivia. 

Vic, I would personally like to put it on record.  Thank you very much indeed for all your help and advice since I joined this forum.

I have never met Vic, but his gift reminds me of the Ft Lieut Hendley  character played by James Garner in The Great Escape.  When you need a source for scenery, obscure models, or conversion potential -  Grumpy Old Man is the unsurpassed Scrounger of Pendraken Forum.
