Hello Again

It looks like it is related to Google searches only, a link to http://www.pendraken.co.uk/BW9-p3824/ is fine but the Google link https://www.google.com.au/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwj85_O4tZLOAhVDp5QKHX8UDlMQFggbMAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.pendraken.co.uk%2FBW9-p3824%2F&usg=AFQjCNGc78voFhG0aTc2ewmu-4iz1JMrgQ&sig2=rXvDNYNn5p0lp1VXQ-PpuQ&bvm=bv.128153897,d.dGo takes you to the shoes. Getting a result from Duckduckgo (a fine web search site that doesn't track your information) which is direct, is also fine. Maybe it is DNS servers that have been hacked? Have you raised the Pharming with Google?

Dogpile leads to the correct site http://ccs.dogpile.com/ClickHandler.ashx?encp=ld%3d20160727%26app%3d1%26c%3dinfo.dogpl%26s%3dDogpile%26rc%3dinfo.dogpl%26dc

but Bing with this result http://www.pendraken.co.uk/BW9-p3824/ which you'd think would go to the correct page (it does if you paste it directly) ends up at the shoes.

Ixquick and Ask Jeeves go to the correct pages

From what I can see any search engine that relies on Google is redirecting to shoes, Yahoo doesn't show any results for pendraken.co.uk and the others are ok, maybe it's Google DNS servers that have been hacked.

Seems a very reasonable theory, Grumps. (I think...and I'm certainly not being sarcastic.).....Damn fine work.

You all know that I know next to b*gger all about computers and the net, but could it be some sort of incompatibility between Google and Leon's host, rather than a 'hack' ?
Do we know any other specific sites that use 123 as their host, to see whether those sites have similar issues ?

Cheers - Phil. (Who genuinely wishes he understood a LOT more about this sort of stuff. :()

Excellent detective work. Hope it can be sorted out soon. Must be a trying time for those in Middle Borough.

Duckduckgo - not heard of that one. I'll stash that.

Several times unfortunately, Matt's been doing that.  I believe you have to raise a ticket with them and then wait in a queue.  Once they come back to us, we have to submit evidence that we're not hacked and then they should take the appropriate action to clear our name as it were.  I think we've done this 5 or 6 times so far this year, but the 'Hacked' labelling keeps coming back.

I've just been sent to the shoe site. It's not over yet.

Just got sent to Louis Button  :o

No idea if it was shoes or perfume. Lass had strange make-up  on.

Does "Order completed" mean it's been shipped?
Outside of a dog a book is mans' best friend.
Inside of a dog it's too dark to read.

Yep, you should have received an email as well to update you when the package shipped.  Yours went out on the 26th, so it should land with you early next week I'd think.

Right then, here's the latest update on the situation:

·   The vulnerability investigation found no exploitable vulnerabilities across the whole front end of the website, so no potential holes for hackers.
·   Matt has raised a new ticket with Google to resolve the indexing issues and get us taken off their 'Hacked' list again.
·   The safest way to ensure we're re-indexed as 'safe' by Google is to move away from 123-reg.
·   We have paid for new hosting last night.
·   The website transition to the new hosts will begin this evening.
·   Matt will make any necessary code changes to ensure the website is compatible with the new environment (won't be many – if any at all!)
·   The hosting transition will complete some time on Friday.
·   There may be a small period of wonkyness (technical term...) while the new hosting and Google get themselves straight again, but hopefully by the end of the weekend – everything will be spot on once more!

Woo hoo!

Hello

Hope it all goes well and the shoes are exiled to the ninth level of hell. Now, following on from my premature celebration before (I have spam mail that says they can fix this :) )

Cheers

Hello

I've reported the problem to Adblock as well. One of the forum posters said:-

QuoteThere is something weird about the server: The Chrome DevTools say that the site gives a 302 Found status code with that particular search

QuoteI have also verified that this redirection happens with www.google.co.uk, www.google.com, www.google.ca, www.google.ie, www.google.co.nz, www.google.de, www.google.at, www.google.fr, www.google.es, www.google.cat, www.google.co.jp, and even www.google.co.hk.

The www-subdomains are significant: This does not happen on my preferred Google site: https://encrypted.google.com/webhp?pws=0&safe=off&num=100&complete=0

That is a good tip on  the encrypted Google sub domain and it shows the correct page rather than the shoes for a google result. Maybe suggest this to people in  the meantime while waiting on  the server change.

Cheers
