Just opened my copy. Thanks for the heads up. High praise indeed from John Jolliffe; I wonder if John Keegan feels the same. Have also just got Summer Harvest for GWSH2 - The Austrian armies in August 1914. Wondering about trying a scenario or two as a BBB game.

Well, I did not know that. What a great loss. Just finished his book on the ACW - an excellent and succinct read giving a very clear overview of what it was all about.

Excellent news that there is a paperback edition. Recently read a review oin History Today and rather liked it.
