I see the one figure is armed with a pistol and a dagger and armor, but what is the weapon on the advancing figure? Looks like it has a large curved magazine coming from the top of the gun? Am I correct or is that part of his web gear? Looks like a Bren gun a little? Any help would be great!     Thanks, Charles.

fred.

Some of the other WWI trench raiders could be straight out of the Osprey plates. Might be worth a bit of a google to see if there are any hits.

I've had a look in the Trench Warfare Ospreys I have, but they don't have any Italians I'm afraid.

Hello Rifleman65

This could be a Beretta 1918 submachine gun:-

Edit : most of the information I can find points to a twin barrelled FIAT-Revelli Modello 1915 (Villar Perosa) Light Machine Gun as being carried by the Arditti (which unfortunately doesn't look like the gun carried by the figure  :( )

Cheers
