Yes. I believe he was portrayed by Ed Harris in The Right Stuff. Combat pilot with six DFCs(!), astronaut, senator, multi-millionaire and actor (does it count if you play yourself?). Considering he was not an actor, thought he carried off a creditable and funny performance (as himself) in one episode of Frasier. A real American hero.
I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.

Also heard that jockey, Walter Swinburn had died at the age of 55.
I'm sure his name won't be familiar to most of you.....But the name of one of the horses he won the Derby on, probably would.
