Very nice!

I am going to have to put some up of my AWI as well.   I am fairly happy with my paint jobs but not 100 percent happy with the basing.  Your basing looks a lot better than mine.

We use British Grenadier rules in FDWC
they are not to bad to play

When I (finally!) get round to my AWI (poor, neglected, shoebox-dwelling little fellas) & SYW (on wishlist), I'll be using Black Powder and Rank & File - but also the WM variants too: struggling to decide on basing: although 20x20 with six bases per unit would allow me to easily do all three (by using 2 bases for each WM stand)

lovely ! i'm using (or going to use) BG too Those warrant uniforms look fantastic. Black Powder sounds interesting but uses too many figures for my painting speed to ever match i think!

I have Black Powder and Rank & File rules, but Rank & File is used for 1870 war and ACW in our club no one hae bought Black Powder because of the price , but i was going to use it for Indian Mutiny figures  from

the basing for 10mm AWI is 20x20mm for 4 foot figures and 2 foot figures see pictures. 2 Cavalry can fit on 20 by 20 but i like 25mm by 25mm, artilliry 25 by 25mm for light 3pdrs to 4 pdsr  30 wide by 40mm for 6 to 9pdrs and 40 by 40mm for large 12pdrs which looks correct
everybody has based them the same in the club so we can use them for any set of rules

how many 25x25 bases do you use to depict a standard sized Cavalry unit, if the standard infantry use 6 bases (20x20mm),  four or six ?

cheers

It depends on the AMERICAN WAR OF INDEPENDENCE SCENARIOS books, standard infantry use 6 bases, but can be as large as 8 bases.
But if you paint your cavalry regiments 6 bases(12 figures) for BG  it should cover most games, but in some games it can be just 2 bases, but you would need to check the AMERICAN WAR OF INDEPENDENCE SCENARIOS books for sizes.
need to buy a better camera to show the detail of my figures.
I have completed both armys for bunker hill and might put up some picture when i have some free time? It was the FDWC Display game for Kirriemuir wargames show 2008, but have no pictures of the display :(
unless someone else took some picture of the display game ?

Dazza

cheers, i'll do six then  :)
