Great news about the job and you are a lucky beggar being able to move back to Yorkshire. Look forward to more posts about your 10mm armies when you get the time!

Right then chaps, firstly thanks a lot to everyone for the comments regarding me getting work, very much appreciated. just a quick one.
17th Light dragoons, converted command. have done a head swap on the musician as well as building a bugle for him, and sculpted a little hand (a bit crudely) onto a piece of paperclip for the standard.

Ok, has been a long time coming but another update. Past month has been a bit hectic with settling into work and getting moved in. But now the flat is looking good and I wont be getting a PS4 for a while, (don't worry work pays ok, but I've got a fair bit to pay off from last month.) So painting is now kicking into gear... HUZZAH. Also with work I have to do the occasional weekend monitoring, so this means: 1. No getting bevved up (saves money, and you cant paint whilst you are hungover). 2. I can't get out that much that weekend. Although this may sound like a pain, its a great opportunity to sort stuff out around the house, and of course paint. I can just put the laptop on, paint away, and if 'owt happens, report on it. This weekend was a bit mental though so didnt get as much painting done as I'd have liked. However I still have some photos for you lot.

17th Light dragoons all done, the guidon was found on google and then printed

A test fig for Regiment Rall, I just love the look of mitres so I had to shoehorn some Hessian grenadiers in somewhere

First base of von Donop, I have finished another 8 figs as well, but they just need to be based.

Hopefully the pace will pick up a bit now. In my latest order I got 30 Hessians, Rgt. Rall and 30 Brits. After that it will be the Hessian commands, another set of Hessians, one more Brit line infantry and one more militia, a few more casualties and mounted officers. Then I will be done with the initial goal of the project.

More great work, I particularly like the cavalry.

I do like the way you have used lots of frozen food boxes to cover your work table - don't you find you get hungry half-way through painting?  :P

It's one of the advantages of getting fliers through your door. about every week I get 4 page A4 sized booklet from Netto or FarmFoods (Other frozen food specialists and discount supermarkets are available) which is a great way for protecting my table. When I was a student we used to get SHEDLOADS of take away menus, (the tall thin type) and they make great dividers in ring-binder folders. It does make you look a bit silly when you are selecting your order and sitting there with a folder full of 4 years worth of notes though. One of the blessings (or is it a curse ) of living in Leeds is the great amount of brilliant curry on offer.
