For fantasy, I INMHO afghan figures are nicer than ottoman rank

fred.

For a bit of a change of pace this afternoon, I put together a 28mm Gothic building.

Fairly simple dry brushing of grey over the base dark grey. Block painted the door dark brown - some more detailing to do still.

This is about half the pieces in the kit, I have already made a much bigger building from a kit I got a couple of years ago.

fred.

Thanks Phil. Its come out pretty well, and only needed a middling amount of effort. Not sure if I'm going to base it or not.

Tonight, a bit more work on the Araby Knights.

Quite a lot of grey highlighting added to the black, and started picking out lots of the bits of equipment, of which there is a lot of very small things, not quite sure what they all are, let alone the right colour, so gone from brown at the minute, with the intention of adding some gold bits of metal work.

Looking good, men. The yellow horse looks pretty good for arab army

fred.

Thanks all.

The yellow ones are to round out a WM unit to make 2 x 40x40mm bases which we are using for our home brew rules.

More work on the Araby Knights.

Got some details added to the black and orange ones, and got them based up. A bit of gold has lifted them quite a lot.

Also got some brighter yellow on the other ones, and painted a few of the horses of the lighter armoured ones, I think I will only base these 6 to a base.

Thanks chaps. I'm pleased with how these have come out, and how quickly they have painted up. Especially, considering how much procrastination has gone into not painting these!

Very nice. It's amazing how much time you spend thinking about how difficult something will be to paint so you put it off and put it off. Then, when you bite the bullet and paint it, you sail through it.
