I thought I would let you have a look at the Prussian Seven Years War
army I'm currently working on.   I bought the first of these figures years
ago but started painting them while waiting for some League of Augsburg
figures to be delivered.   As I really enjoyed painting the SYW Prussians,
the LOA figures have had to take a back seat until this project is finished.

I'm focusing on the Western Theatre of the SYW, which means lots of
opportunities to paint variety (Prussians / Hanoverians / French /
Reichsarmee etc).   The plan is to raise two armies and to spend approximately
one year painting each (allowing time for inevitable diversions).   I'm currently
six months through the Prussian (and allied) army and have completed all
the artillery and cavalry.   I've also completed 14 out of 24 Infantry Battalions.
So, its coming on okay so far !

I've added some pics to Photobucket so that you can have a gander :

Very nice. Lots and lots of cavalry!! And a lot of infantry already, you are going to have some big battles, when these are done.

Very disciplined to paint one army then the other, I think I would have been busy doing bits from all, partly due to butterfly syndrome, and partly so that I would be able to get small games on the table reasonably quickly.

Keep slogging a way on the painting - I'd like to see a huge battle soon  :)

Thanks chaps.   Much appreciated.

Its definitely going to be a long haul but I'm really enjoying it so far.
The Hussars were espcially fun.   Loads of colour.

I'm really looking forward to playing a humungous game with them
but know that I'm going to have to provide both sides...

Cheers,

Phil

Reichsarmee!? You'll need a masochist friend to play them, won't you?
I don't drink coffee to wake up. I wake up to drink coffee.

Looking very nice, be interested to see how this progresses. :-bd

Yeah, I know.   They're a bit like the Napoleonic Neapolitans.   Interesting to
paint but even more fun to let someone else play them.
