All,

I know there's at least a couple fans of my blog out there (http://blackhawkhet.blogspot.com/), and I just wanted to let you know that I've created a new blog:
http://cubalibrewargame.blogspot.com/

The whole purpose of the new blog is simply organizational.  If you check my posts, you're aware that I'm into all kinds of stuff, from Napoleonics to Ultramodern, and quite a bit in between, with various scales, genres, and levels (skirmish, squad, platoon, company, battalion, brigade).

I anticipate continuing my diverse brand of wargaming, but I have a campaign in particular that will contain a great many subsets of different campaigns, and so I decided I'd like it to have its own blog, simply to help me keep it all in one spot, while continuing with other stuff on the old blog.

I am, of course, speaking of my ongoing "Cuba Libre" alternate history setting.  I've already played out the liberation of Cuba by exiles against the Castro regime (32 batreps), and my intent is to use the military forces of Free Cuba in a bewildering array of different real and made-up conflicts from 1990 to present (and into the future).

This weekend I plan on beginning a Special Operations deployment to the Balkans to assist a fledgling democracy trying to break free of Yugoslavia, and I'm also looking at beginning a conventional deployment to an African nation being overrun by communists, playing through the collapse of said nation.  Nominally these are set in the summer of 1990, but the whole purpose for me having this 'alt history' world is to do a bunch of Ultramodern wargaming without having to deal with the politics of the situation.

I hope you like it, please stop on by!
