How many points can Warband handle?

Realised I have way too may units and whilst I'm looking at what extras I have that can be used in other armies, I wondered what sort of point level Warband can be played at above 500points?

How about 1000 point games with multiple generals?
I don't think my wife likes me very much, when I had a heart attack she wrote for an ambulance.

The largest I've played in 1500pts with 3 Generals a side (essentially three armies side by side, with CPs used only within each 'command').  It worked fine but took a little longer to finish.
