Some thoughts for this season:

- Man Utd's lack of star players will mean they fail to win the Premier League again.

- Spurs will really struggle in the Champions League, get knocked out at the group stage, and it will negatively affect their season.

- Liverpool will struggle to gel under Hodgson and miss out on the Champions League again.

- Man City will take that fourth place spot in the final week of the season.

- Blackpool only have two choices: Spend and get relegated with an expensive wage bill.
Don't spend and get relegated with some money in the bank for the next season.

- Arsenal will mount a very serious challenge for the title, as long as they can keep their players fit.

- Adam Johnson will be the breakout young player of the year.

- Theo Walcott will still have a disappointing season, despite his hat trick last week.

- Newcastle will fluke a couple of wins and manage to stay up.   >:(

- Chelsea will walk the league but will struggle against fellow title contenders.

- Liverpool and Villa will return to mid-table obscurity

- Man City will sack Mancini by mid-season and they won't end up in the top 4

- Fulham will outperform many of the so called "title contenders".

- Everton will qualify for the Champions League.

- Boro will be relegated to League 1  :'(

I was thinking this the other day... with the £48m over four years, being a Premier League yo-yo club is now a credible business plan. When relegated, you could sell your top performers to get a little cash and as long as you're promoted within 4 years you'd be laughing!

Newcastle will fail to stay up after they lose their main striker when Carol gets jailed for being the thug that he is
Sunderland will just avoid relegation again
Boro will go up 2nd to Cardiff
Man U will win the title with the least wins in history
Abramovich will want his money back and the world will laugh as they are forced to ground share with Brentford  8->

Arsenal just need an out-and-out striker, then they will have a chance, albeit a slim one.

It'll be interesting to see what happens to Carroll in his court case this autumn - with his apparent 'previous' it might be a blow to the Toon (and fascinating with Barton in the same team!)

Man U are certainly not showing many signs of the "Old United" tag being given to them...and neither, I'm delighted to note, are Chelsea!

Roman has always been in for the long-haul with his investment in Chelsea - he is a shrewd businessman and I think is unlikely to pull anything at this point as his investment continues to bring a financial return that is beneficial to his business plan. And, if I'm wrong, there are worse clubs to share a ground with than Brentford... :P 8)

They got rid of the death penalty didn't they...?   :D

Newcastle have a team of thugs, but unfortunately, teams of thugs tend to win games.

They went with 'don't spend' and are now staring relegation in the face.

- Arsenal will mount a very serious challenge for the title, as long as they can keep their players fit.
Kinda I suppose.  Not so much injury problems, as lack of quality players.

- Adam Johnson will be the breakout young player of the year.
He would have been if he hadn't got injured, and had a decent run in the team.

- Theo Walcott will still have a disappointing season, despite his hat trick last week.
Yep.  Bit part player all season.

- Newcastle will fluke a couple of wins and manage to stay up.   >:(
Unfortunately so.   >:(
