Must be a tad cold, thought you might at least have a Yurt.

BLLLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH  WIBBBBBLE

Quick rant:
They are not yurts for the Mongols, they are gers. Yurt is a Turkic word for more of a semi-permanent dwelling that can be dismantled and moved whereas gers are as nomadic as their owners.

Sorry, gets me every time.

Buy plenty of Matron's sculpts now!

If he keeps using the chainsaw, the value of his work will soon go up.

Superb!!

I did something similar some years ago but a million miles away from your quality. I used pendraken figures too (old range of american civil war and a pikemen for the orc).

still have a bunch of converted space orcs without painting

Techno

Those have come out wonderfully, J.

Atavus

Nice stuff JChaos79.  I like how the ACW soldier's coat is made to look like tassets.  I can't get enough of that sort of thinking!

Here's my latest update (and probably my last for a while until I make my next order).  One flamer marine:

And one bolter marine:

I've been checking out your Dark Elves as scout proxies, Leman, and they could also look the part with a little work.  I'm also looking at the colonists in space suits as an option.  I'll probably end up ordering a pack of ECW, Dark Elves and colonists to try out (or maybe mix and match).

Techno

Superb, crisp, finish again, Atavus.

2018 Painting Competition - Runner-Up!

Atavus

Yay!  You sound like just the sort of recruit we need, Womble  :)

I didn't get this guy finished in time to enter the painting competition, but having decided on a chapter (the Lamenters), I couldn't wait to get my first model painted up.  So here he is:

At this size, the paint job has shown up the imperfections in the sculpt, but in real life, I think it looks fine.  But then I would, woudn't I?
