Steve, Phil; you're both slobs  :)

Lemmey; given the amount you paint it's amazing you create so little  ;)

But its where masterpieces are created!

Well I think they are anyway
If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

Does it have to be messy for a masterpiece?

Yes, I keep quite a tidy desk as well.
Water is indeed the essential ingredient of life, because without water you can't make coffee!

The biggest 'problem' for me, is having dozens...Sometimes, even hundreds of wee men on the table.....Either, already 'on the go', or 'next in line'. (Usually in little zip-lock bags)
If I started keeping them all in wee drawers, I'd end up spending ages looking for them.
(I know I put that somewhere safe....But which safe place was it ?)

Priorities also change for the next in line.
So, if there's something (including a range of figures) that's half completed...That has to stay on the table for safety's sake, until I can return to it.

Bob shamed me into a clear up this morning....But it hasn't made a lot of difference. I filled a small pot with figures that ARE surplus to requirements.
The desk probably isn't as messy as I think it is sometimes.

I can always find what I'm looking for, anyway !  ;D ;D ;D
Cheers - Phil

Someone's recent thread about a CD tower for modelling makes perfect sense in this context... I'm intrigued and may keep an eye on the old Freecycle ;)
