Captain Verbeek

I have completed a Colonial British Gardner gun and based up my first battalion of "Cavenderi" colonial pictures to follow.

11th sept. 100YW English and French Armies both based three days after landing on my welcome mat ;)

I'm now as high as a kite on superglue and my dining room smells like pissy nappies... dont you just hate basetex! :d.

Next step, 24 hour curing time followed by pva/sand on bases. Hoping to complete this bit tommorow.
I don't think my wife likes me very much, when I had a heart attack she wrote for an ambulance.

30 bearers, 3 rhinos, flying lizard (now a pteradon) and vehicles all done (bar the weels on the truck) 12 glued to individual bases, they just need the sand etc added to match into the rest of the terrain. The rest will multiples on a larger base - not sure whether to do circular or rectangular :-\
The link below shows them in the early stages

My spray-fume-sensitive wife being on a business trip this week, I completely primed my SYW backlog  :>-- which is rather a lot now that I look at it    :-S. But when the main Turkish order arrives next week it jumps to head of the queue. :-bd

100yw stuff was basetex'd up earlier this week and a trip to halfords today will hopefully see them undercoated this afternoon.

For all intents and purposes I could be starting paintiong these early next week (if real life doesn't get in the way!). Good to see others are making progress too ;)

Thanks,

I got a new camera a few weeks ago which suffers from being too good, the figures actually look better in the flesh but when photograped the images are much bigger than the figures and look rubbish, especially the German field gun, the picture is actually 6 or 7 times bigger than the model which looks pretty good, but the picture shows all the blemishes.

I know what you mean Dan, I hate taking close ups, With mine you think hey looks good until you see the photo and then notice all the bits I missed :-[ :-[ :-[

Massai based on four 20x40 bases with 5 on individual bases. the two officers are on separate bases too. Askari getting there slowy. the question njow is how should I base them. my idea is some will be based with the bearers  who will be in singe file along the base guarded by  a couple of Askari on each base, some will be individual bases, but what about the rest, any ideas would be greatly appreciated
