Can anyone recommend a green for Jagers, the ones I have just don't seem to cover. I can buy Vallejo locally and there is a games workshop in town, but I would welcome any suggestions.    Cheers Al.

Just had a quick look at Nash's Almark book on the Prussians I would go with a base coat of the Luftwaffe Cam Green (823) from the Flames of War range by Vallejo and take it from there.

I use Vallejo olive green for 1870 jagers and Miniature Paints Stone  Green for 1914 jagers.

The 1914-18 German jager grey/green was significantly "greener" than feldgrau, but it definitely had a hint of grey in it.

The stone green has a hint of grey and is much lighter than the olive green.

Thank you all, greens are a real pain. I can never get them right, I look at the colour in the shop and it looks right in the bottle but when I start painting I am never happy with the results.

I used vallejo luftwaffe green cam then a highlight of uniform green, both from the panzer series. I think their is a pic in my AWI photos on here. Not sure if the uniform colour changed over the years though.

Ah, wrong end of the pointy object. Scrap everything I said about 1914-18.
