Never one to speed along with projects I've finally returned to the Sudan! The unit started above is STILL not finished but thanks to the ever generous Slugbalancer sending me some of his painted Sudan Brits I've finally for the project moving again!

Martin sent me two batches of his painted Brits. I just applied a wash to them, based them and painted the few extra needed to get them up to my proposed unit strengths.

I know the two lots of Brits.

But this last few days I've been painting up some opposition for them having seen an excellent tutorial on a blog. Full details are on my blog: http://blog.belisarius.org.uk/2017/07/a-warm-fuzzy-wuzzy-feeling.html but I now have some natives painted.

Just need to keep the momentum going!

If you plan to dawdle, you need to be doing the first campaign so you can get to Khartoum too late! Let's see some red coats there.

Looking good Andy!

What rules are you using for them?

For visual effect, I think you have your basing just right.

Thanks for the comments. I have next big batch in sticks waiting for spraying!

Initially I'm going with The Men Who Would Be Kings just to get using them and as I get more done I'll look into other sets....

Cheers

fred.

They look very good.

You've plenty there to start playing TMWWBKs - its quite figure number independent. With 10mm I go for similar numbers of figures to the 28mm suggestions, but based 4 to a base - but it really doesn't matter within the rules.

Lovely job. Minis and table look spot on. Always thought I'd do colonials in 15mm, but these are very tempting.
