Yep, best episode yet. Still a bit confused re: who Clara really is, given her 'past' in the previous series. Still, good to keep the grey matter exercised.

Subedai

I enjoy each one as a stand alone episode because unless an ongoing thread slaps me in the face every so often as a reminder I lose track of all the subtlety and life's too short to think about who the hell Clara is and what the rip in the fabric of time meant or who the bl**dy spaceman was. I preferred it when it was aimed at children, I could cope then. It's gone a bit too highbrow and intellectual recently. I'll still watch it though...just in case.

Thought last nights episode particularly bland and uninteresting

I actually thought Dr Who was still aimed at kids as their target audience
If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

Ithoriel

I'd have said the last episode was classic Dr Who.

I'd have thought Dr. Who was aimed at teenagers and young adults rather than at children. Aimed at an older audience since the reboot though, I reckon.

Think I'll watch it again to get my head round it.

I do think recent series have spent too long exploring character development rather than saving the universe...

But the latest one was good, in a more intellectual way. Now, bring back the Cybermen.

Quite pleased to be eating my own words.

Capaldi is growing on me and Miss Coleman is simply without doubt getting hotter by the episode.

Just caught up with episode 4 (missed 3) and I absolutely love the way Dr Who is playing on schoolchild fears. I almost hid behind the sofa at one point and fully expect to be having a distrubed night tonight as my daughters already asking about thinsg under the bed.....
I don't think my wife likes me very much, when I had a heart attack she wrote for an ambulance.
