It was a great weekend...I'm still knackered now  ;) :)

Expect more info & pics as I get them in / can link to them: I did the standard job of reminding everyone else to take pics - and forgot myself  :-[

It was good to meet a load of folks in the flesh - and adjust to calling them by their real names  :) Rudy's a star BTW  8)

Definately a very enjoyable Saturday. I hope to get a more detailed report onto my Blog in the next few days.

Yeah, we met him at the Crisis show and he seems like a cool guy!

I'd have to say Dave the star for picking me up and bringing me back to the airport, breaking off our last game way too early.  And cheers to Nik for running a great event.

All of the guys there were friendly, and because I only brought a small (ladies) suitcase, I had to stuff all my pockets with all the goodies I received from everyone.  In the airport they took me separate straight away and gave me the full frisk, and I can assure you they were looking all funny at me when I started emptying out my pockets: 2 books, foam, a pendraken BKC battlepack, several tanks, Paul's horsehair mat, 8 primed minis I got at the BnB, wrapped into the upholstery foam I got from Steve, all the shampoo bottles from the hotel, 4 matakishi dice, and a bag of 50 baby dice, a pack of paper handkerchiefs, glasses, my notebook and pencil, byro and my camera.  Luckily I could resist doing my Poirot impression, they'd probably have kept me there  :o

Told the misses next edition just might be in summer, and she was ready to go  ;)

BTW, Craig already had his pigs up yesterday: http://ww2games.blog.co.uk/2010/12/12/nikfest-falaise-gap-demo-table-10168943/

Quick update on plans for 2011:  I'm potentially looking at a venue which is an old coaching inn: could accommodate the gaming in its large function room, has rooms, bars & does a superb carvery [not to mention the Exmoor breakfast]...

I'm into the negotiation stage - with me looking for no-cost for the function room [which is massively used for weddings / balls etc]...the landlord is looking in another direction at the moment. But I'll get him...or go somewhere else!  :)

That sounds good, what dates are you looking at?

Looking to avoid other shows [obviously!]  and to avoid the silly season - which on Exmoor is pretty much pre-Easter until end of October half-term; which pretty much leaves November [to avoid Christmas] - so we need to avoid Fiasco in Leeds, Warfare at Reading & Smoggycon up at yours: so probably the second weekend of November?

Just to say as well that I'm looking at negotiating an all-in-one price: to include venue costs [which hopefully I can get to zero], dinner, bed & breakfast. The only trick to this is that it's in a great location on Exmoor - and that means that civilization is a little way away [about 5 miles to nearest small town]...it'd be lovely though  :)

Keep an eye out for the Crisis show over in Belgium as well, this year it was on the 6th Nov.  I'll be looking at next years shows over the next few days and trying to get hold of fixed dates for them all.

Cool - let me know once you've got them & I'll work around them  :)

Crisis is the first Saturday of November.  Unless the first Saturday is the 1st.  Then it's the 8th.  Clear?  :D

Edit: So it'll be the 5th  8)
