The figures etc that I ordered for my ITLSU 1914 project arrived in the mail today  - Thanks Leon.

Just been to see Paul who is going to be painting them up for me to deliver the figures...He's very keen to get started :)

As he's doing the hard work painting wise I'll leave it to him to update this topic as things progress.

My idea is to ultimately stage games of the actions at Nery and Elouges from August/Sept 1914 period.

Cheers
Peter

yes so am I Lemmey.

Paul showed me the last of his AWI stuff that he has finished - very nice indeed.

Way better than I could do even if my eyes were still 20/20!

ITSLU - If the Lord Spares Us - WW1 brigade level rules aimed primarily at Middle East theatre but adaptable by east/west front by Too Fat Lardies

Title is a quote from:

"...Til we meet again, if the Lord Spares Us".

So ends the last letter written home from Gallipoli veteran 202537 Lance Sergeant Albert Skinner, 2/4th
Royal West Kent Regiment, just a few weeks before his death in the hills near Tel Khuweilfe, a few miles
north east of Beersheba, Palestine on 4th November 1917.

These rules are dedicated to Albert and all those other poor sods who are still out there.

Well no pressure then  ;)

34 packs of shinny goodness  :D

I've sorted the first batch of British

Brigade HQ and dispatch riders (Signaler stands in ITLSU) across the top

A regiment of dismounted cavalry (BP41) on the right

A regiment of mounted cavalry (BP5 & BP53) on the left

A battalion of infantry (BP1 & BP29) at the bottom

Three guns crews and guns, still in their bag, bottom right

This will be enough British to fight the Arretez scenario http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,10045.0.html we used as a test game

The current batch of Brits have now had the very limited amounts of flash removed, been washed and are now on my painting rods waiting for some fine weather to be undercoated.

The forecast for Saturday is good so  fingers crossed.

Plenty of Germans and more Brits to sort in the meantime  ;)

Looking to assemble three BP7 18pdr FG and have question, which way up does the gun shield go?

I suspect the ''tab'' on the back of the shield goes at the bottom under the gun but would like to make sure I get it right.
