Forum member 'blaker' has been kind enough to send us these rules to offer as a free download.  They are based on the excellent 'Hordes of the Things' rules, so have a look, and let us know what you think!

These look excellent, I downloaded them the other night (Thank You the author) and they look pretty hot...  no pun intended lol.

I play 25/28mm Pax Limpopo Colonial at the moment, but I DO intend to pick up 10mm some time later this year; and will squirrel these rules away on my pen drive for when I do.

Sweet :-)

Howdy Six,

Have you had a chance to play these rules yet ?  I know you've been pretty busy with DW, LMK what you think  ;)

cheers

Two points, only one of them related to wargaming:
1) I remember that a lot was made of the difference between disciplined regular shooting (deadly) and wild blazing away by irregulars with poor quality weapons. Is there really no need to distinguish shooters?
2) The word "irregardless" is considered grounds for a term in prison by all right-thinking people.

Mind if I give Pete Jones a heads up for "freewargamesrules" ?

IanS, please wait until we finish with the update - fixing some typos/wording and adjusting some army lists  ;)

Lord Kermit of Birkenhead

No problem - leave a heads up here and I'll pass it on.

Aye, nice rules.

I've been using HotT for my Victorian Science fiction games too!

I've been trying to find some FPW rules, but to be honest HotT may well do the trick...

Where could a lowly peasant find these rules these days?

I'm not sure to be honest, I think they might have disappeared after we launched the new site.  I'll have a check and see if we've got the original files anywhere.
