Okay, boring army list question...
SO far we have used between 250-350 points for a decent game.
If I'm building Hail Cheesy Picts, using the 'official' army lists, there is a ratio issue...

(Can I just make the point that the chance of me EVER sticking to offical numbers is 0  :d )

Non-skirmishing foot units MUST be 75% of the army.
Cavalry can be UP to 25% of the units in the army may be cavalry.
Skirmishers can be up to 50% of a foot division.

Let's run the numbers here, all at minima points for foot...
1-4 Foot = NO cav, 0-2 skirmishers. (24- 96 points of foot)
5-8 Foot = 0-1 cav, 0-4 skirmishers. (120 - 192 points of foot)
9-12 Foot = 0-2 cav, 0-6 skirmishers (216 - 288 points of foot)
13-16 Foot = 0-3 cav, 0-8 skirmishers. (That's a minimum of 312 points of foot)

Leon, hurry up with molding the Picts, I need to buy A LOT!

Just take my money...

HHHmmmmmm, I think you may have some incorrect numbers there. The Hail Caesar lists work in number of units, not point cost of units. So if you have a split of 75% foot and 25% mounted, then you can have 12 units of foot and 4 units of cav. Then you can tag on some skirmishers (up to six) who don't count towards the totals anyway.

And remember - the joyous approach to HC army lists is 'if you think you know better and can back it up, then do it!'

Looking forward to seeing your boys - and maybe/certainly getting my hands on my own Picts. :-\

Will, love your little banner. Needs to be a more contrasty colour though.  :)
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.
