Very nice indeed, but remember it's early days yet!  I reckon there'll be a lot of impressive work in this category.

Great work TT. Didn't believe anyone would give Dougie a run for his money, but your warband really looks the bizz.  Like the ingenuity of the setting, the trees, the cross, the whole nine yards. But of course none of it would matter if you couldn't paint, and you can! :-bd :-bd :-bd

Thanks for the kind words Mollinary. Unfortunately my photographby skills really arent up to scratch, they "pop" more in real life than the pics capture.

Best regards,

Craig

FL7 Pet Dinosaurs.  They're nice little sculpts, although could do with remoulding soon.

Before I started keeping chickens I was quite unaware of just how vicious and predatory they behave, they go absolutely crazy when they draw blood and used to kill wood pigeons that were unfortunate enough to get caught trying to nick their feed! If chucks were bigger they would give anyone reason to be afraid...!

I agree Win ! :)

They're not particularly nice creatures at all. :o
You're not wrong about spilled blood. Never had any of ours actually injure a flying rat....But if one the 'brood' gets some sort of cut....It gets 'hen-pecked' to the point it has to be isolated before it gets killed by the others.

Vicious, messy, wasteful, rat encouraging peasants ! ;) ;D
And they'll eat just about anything.......Put me off eating eggs sometimes, when I see what's gone down their necks.....(Shudder !!) ;)
Cheers - Phil.

Thanks    :)

@Vulpine : No ! i like your contribution  :P ! It's something different ! When i just glued some minis on bases and painted it, you worked on a real composition which tell a story. I think judges will also take this in count when they will determine a winner.

For those who are interested by Tribal lizardmen, this is the list of minis i bought (but i didn't use everything) :

@Win : i always said that chicken is the most dangerous creatures after the alien  X_X

Every time I think I've seen the winner someone comes up with something even better. Good luck, judges!  :)

Hold the presses! A whole 1866 Austrian army just appeared, fantastic! wow! :o  8)
I almost feel honour bound to either enter French or Prussians to oppose them!  :P

mad lemmey

Well it is an Army contest so why not put the whole army up!

My goal was to have the Austrians and Prussians done by this coming weekend, but I really hate paint cavalry and it took me about 10 days to slog throught he Prussians. Working on the infantry command now and will start digging thoruh about 460 infantry shortly.  Then its on to 230 or so Saxons.

Tempting!  ;D I can do French II Corps, VI Corps and nearly finished the Guard, just missing the guards horse artillery, they need their limbers (hint hint Leon)!

However, I did say I would only enter figures from this year, and secretly I'm planning to only enter figures painted this month!  :P

At some point I will do the full collection.  :D

Tom,

Look forward to seeing those! I am just coming to the end of a project to produce the armies for the early battles in Bohemia at a scale of 1:20 for a forthcoming (touch wood)book. Including a what if of Skalitz involving both Austrian IV and VIII corps, this means about 2000 Austrian infantry and 1500 Prussians, plus cavalry and guns.  Largely painted  by Fernando, but based by me, so not a candidate for the competition. Overall these figures look great , as Andreas Hofer has demonstrated.  Hope you get yours up in the competition in the next ten days!

I have the Cavalry, Artillery, and Jagers done, so if I don't get the infantry done, I can at the very least post those.

Finally sorted through the photos of my army, and got them posted.

I've then looked through all the entries and the breadth, variety and quality of the entries is amazing. You look at one entry and think wow that's great, then scroll down and there is another great one, and then another. Glad I don't have to choose my favourite!!

Good luck to everyone who has entered - especially those who have entered for the first time.
