I like your stronghold! Could I suggest you to glue fine sand on the yellow paths to improve the aspect? Also a Taiko (the big japanese drumms) near the gate could be nice.

For the drumm you can use a 15mm or 20mm barrel, fixed on wood cross frame. Taiko looks like a huge barrel.
I just find a barrel from Horrorclix! I have starting to painting!^^

My sand is too big to fit in the path. I will buy sand for aquarium soon.
For 10mm I use Silver Sand.
It's basically Children's play sand (silver or white)with a very very fine grade (stuff they use in sand pits, may want to sieve it first for cars/toys/other nasty objects)
In Britain toy shops and garden centres sell it by the bag
