An AAR of a small battle inspired by the action at Dermbach in 1866 can be found on my Blog below, using my mdf figures:

Nice to see a game in the Western Theatre. I have figures for Bavaria, Wurttemburg, Baden and Hesse, plus a small Austrian brigade.
Thank you for taking the time - I really enjoyed the battle report.
I very much like the terrain setup and the mdf figures certainly look
the part.
We have used Black Powder many times and must admit that we
find its not worth attacking any troops defending a BUA (unless its
a very long game !).
Might need some form of house rule to make this slightly easier.
Anyway, thanks for putting this together and look forward to the
next report.
Phil
Good game, thanks. Nice to see the mdf figures hit the table, they work well.
Looks brilliant sir
Nice stuff our kid
Fantastic table! :x
Thanks chaps :).
Excellent, Steve ! :-bd
Cheers - Phil :)

The MDF figures certainly look good on the table :)
QuoteI'm sure like most other gamers I chafing at the bit to have some games with friends, but patience is a virtue and I'll just have to wait.
So until next time stay safe and keep healthy.
Some very wise words there and it emphasises how lucky we are here in NZ to be able to game face to face
Not my period but an interesting looking game that would be very doable. Lovely looking table and has been said, the MDF figures look the part. Enjoyed the batrep a lot. :)
Goood to see 1866 Western Germany making an appearance. One of my future plans is to have another go at Kissingen.
LIKE.
Good looking game - as always
Thanks again chaps :). The 'sideshows' to the big battles are often more interesting and certainly easier to achieve in terms of figures, terrain, space etc. Fortunately Bloody Big Battles allows you to play the really big battles in a manageable but challenging way, unless you're facing loads of Krupp guns ;).
It's often the response from Prussian opponents: "Oh Crap, they've got Krupps!"
Yep, when each turn you see more Krupps appear on a ridgeline, you know it's not going to end well, as I know from bitter experience :( ;)
Fortunatrely in 1866 the Prussians were very loathe to throw their nice new Krupp guns head first into the fray. They also still used a large number of 12lb brass muzzle loaders. The Austrians came a cropper using attack colums against breechloading needle guns.
