Hi All,
Went somewhat off piste and scratch-built myself a boat...
The Austro-Hungarian SMS Kronprinzessin Erzherzogin Stephanie, from the late 1880's
Made from card-stock, paper and styrene rod. She is 8 cms long and looks rather better in the flesh than these photo's suggest...!!!
Must get back to my Bavarians... :D
Enjoy,
Stu.
Scrating ships can be fun ;)
Beautiful work there, really should be proud
That looks superb!
That is very impressive!
A lovely model of my favorite foreign navy.
Very well done, looks well
I wonder if Ottoman Prohaska ever served aboard?
I'll have to check my library. John Biggins is/was a fie author and Prohaska seemingly got into as many scrapes as Harry Flashman.
Cheers,
Geoff

Many thanks Lemmey... She's a bit rough close-up, but looks fine from a suitable distance... Just wondering whether to build her slightly bigger half-sister Rudolf... :-
Really good looking ship Stu.....love all the ships boats hanging above the main deck :-bd
+1 to those John Biggins books, the 2 that I have read were very good.

Many thanks Pierre!... I was thinking that this wouldn't be too complex to do, and that I could leave of all the boats, but it made her silhouette completely wrong... :( So she had to have her boats!!! :D

Thanks Geoff, not sure I can enlighten you about this...!! :)
A very cool little model - nice work. What scale have you built it at?
That's really good! A fascinating era of naval warship development. My compliments! :-bd

Thank you Fred :) She's at a rather indeterminate scale, somewhere between 1/700 & 1/1000 methinks!!
