Title: Answers to the Quiz regarding the Bridge Guard regimental badges
Post by: Sunray on 15 October 2020, 09:48:47 AM
The Cold War Infantry request thread led to a small fun quiz regimental badges.

Answers are

1. The Lost 6th" -  V Inniskillin Dragoon Guards - they incoperated the 6th back in 1820s - that's them in the Smokey Joes

2. Doreen's Every Ready Rifles =   Royal Engineer Regiment

3. The Greek Guards =   The Duke of Edinburgh's Regiment

This tradition of rebranding regiments with nicknames still goes on.  Any modern examples ?

All new to me.  The RE are a Corps, not a Regiment.

The Ulster Defence Regiment - Uncle Dermot's Rifles.
