Title: Need to go to Specsavers...again!
Post by: Martin1914 on 15 September 2020, 03:24:26 PM
Lost the painting mojo after hoards of khaki drill and puttees, so needed a change. As 1000+ H&R Napoleonics have formed the bedrock of my lead mountain for over 25 years now I thought I'd paint some highlanders. Well my eyesight is definitely not what it was! Not as easy as I remember, even without the tartan. Needless to say my Pendraken highlanders for WW1 Middle East will be the London Jocks!

Regards to all
Mart

Looks good, the bold colours will stand out well on the table.

Look good enough to me. Remember the smaller you go the more "impresionist" you need to be.

Kilt covers were worn soon after this, a god sent for any figure painter!

Look dashed good to me, hope you haven't undermined your foundations  .

Foundations will remain solid for some time to come. I don't paint fast enough.

Tartan in 6mm?  No wonder you need to go to Spec Savers!!!  Nice figures though.
