Not sure if folks are aware of this:

Peter Berry of Baccus writes:
Back in the early 1980s four young men shared a mutual interest in playing with toy soldiers, watching spaghetti westerns, laughing at Monty Python's Flying Circus and sharing memories of old 'B movie' US cavalry films. The leader of this little gang was the inspirational Ian Beck who devised a means of playing a game that combined elements of all four of those passions. To this end, he came up with an ingenious idea whereby all the players were on the same side and had to work cooperatively to defeat the Indians and defend the various civilians populating the table.
The resulting game was huge success on the wargames show circuit and the rules themselves proved to be a great hit.  Sadly Ian died in an accident and the publishers of the rules went out of business, and the project ended there.
However, Pony Wars did not ride into a Technicolour sunset.  Despite the lack of support, the lack of games, the lack of 'official' figures, this ground breaking set has retained its appeal and now has a legendary status in the hobby.   Second hand sets rarely become available and change hands at collector's edition rates.
It's now been forty years since the first edition of Pony Wars was published.  John, Mike and Pete have got together to produce a new edition of these revered rules.    Pony Wars Subscription is now live!
The Pony Wars project is finally underway!  We have nearly completed the final draft of the rules and with all the quotes finalised, we are in a position, at last, to start the subscription process.    As this is not a Baccus project ordering the rules is being done through a separate site, www.ponywars.uk   If you visit that page you will find all the basic information and the facility to make your pre-order.
We have started a new Facebook group (Pony Wars rules) to update people on progress and to discuss all aspects of the rules and the game.
Mike, John and me are really pleased to be able get this project off the ground.  Pony Wars marked a real high point in our early years in the hobby and we are still a little taken aback about how well these rules have survived in the wargaming collective memory and just how many people have requested, if not demanded, their revival. It is also a mark of our deep affection and respect for Ian and his legacy.  He remains a much-missed character and we hope that he would have approved of this updated edition of his most influential publication.
We are hoping to raise the funds for this project by subscription.  Please do share this announcement across as many forums, blogs, discussion groups and Facebook pages as you can.   We can't afford a big advertising campaign - this is about word of mouth, and the more of us spreading that word, the better! you can build your own Pony Wars collection and recount how many different ways B Troop never made it back.
