Title: A sort of tech question.
Post by: Techno on 01 July 2020, 07:59:55 AM
I've got Norton Antivirus on the main PC.

If I download their app onto the tablet, is it free ?.....Or will I be expected to pay again.
Norton keep asking me if I want 'the app'.

Cheers - Mr Cheapskate.

I dont know, I get my AV via BT, but if you search the Norton web site it should tell you.

But I thought the only tablets you had were ones that you swallowed Phil  :d

He has the stone and wax ones you write on, never heard of needing an app for one of those . :)

*Sensible Answer*

Normally an AV will allow you to protect a number of devices. This number may be 1.

If you look on you AV console on your PC it may say something like "3 licences, 1 used" or something similar.

I'm not sure how Norton works.

Also sensible - That's why I directed Phil to the Norton web site, the terms & cons should be there.

Mine was playing 'silly sods' last night.  ;D ;D ;D

It kept chirruping at me (notifications) every few minutes.
What's it doing that for ? Thought the computer illiterate.....Am I getting loads of emails ?.......No..So why's it doing it ?

Sussed it in the end....BBC Sport was 'notifying' me of every sodding goal that was scored last night.......and there were quite a few.
(I think I've switched that facility off, now. ;))

Other tablets ?

I only take 13 a day, .....That's a reduction of four from a couple of years ago.
I've always been glad that we haven't had to pay for prescriptions, since we've been over here.

YOU OIKS !

I'll check out Norton a bit later. ;)

Cheers - Phil

Sean. ;)

Please apply tobacco sauce (liberally) to your coat.
It's Nobby's favourite, before he chews coats. ;)

Cheers - Phil
