Hi all,
Figured I would drop an introduction post in here.
I have a story that will be very familiar - started in 1990 with GW and stuck with that off and on for the next 20 years though over the last decade I have gradually moved more and more to the historical side, though I do dabble with the occasioanl GW product.
As I have gotten older, I have certainly gotten more into the hobby. I currently manage around 10 - 15 hours painting a week (a bit less when the kids are off school) and I am forutnate to have a whole room for painting, which I have almost got set up the way I want it finally. I have way too many projects on going as well as some part time commision work. Pleased to report that this year I am on the way to a mini a day painting! I try to post all my stuff on Insta and Twitter as well.
Why am I here? Well, over the last few years I am finding myself moving more and more towards smaller scales due to space, time and money. I also like the spectale of smaller scale gaming - even when I was younger my favourite GW game was Epic. My main WW2 wargaming is battlegroup in 20mm, and I have 15mm Ancients on the go. I am about to do Sharp Practice in 10mm for the ACW (likely to be my first big Pendraken order) and will be pledging in the new Pennisular not-kickstarter as well.
I won't bore you any more - thanks for having me and I will try and post on the forum fairy regulary on top of using social media.
Cheers
David
Wilkommen, bienvenu, welcome.

Hello and welcome David.
WHAT - yet another one, Hi ;)
Welcome to the forum.
Welcome to the madhouse! :D
Greetings Red.
Hello Mr Flame.
10mm in an excellent scale; Pendraken are a superb manufacturer; the ACW is an brilliant range.
Please post photos, and enjoy the camaraderie of this forum. They're a helpful and knowledgeable lot.
Welcome on board David.
Hello and welcome.
Welcome Dave, let me give you my habitual assessment of the forum. It is warm, welcoming, well read, well informed, willing to help, weird and wacky by turns. Enjoy!

Hi David, welcome to the Forum!

Welcome!
Epic has a great set of minis - we still use them quite a lot and there is quite a bit of new stuff out there too. Moved on with rules a bit, but lots of people still like the original flavours of epic.
Sharpe Practise for the ACW in 10mm is certainly a niche option! But you should be able to get loads of stuff from Pendraken for your forces - well worth having a look in some of the historically nearby ranges to add some more unusual or non-combatant units - in 10mm a different paint job often suffices for a conversion!

That's good - I wouldn't want to be joining a site with any weirdo's!
Thanks all for the warm welcome. I intend on getting a painting log set up soon and I need to work out my Pennisular Naps pledge ASAP as well. Busy times.
No. Nobody weird here.
Nobody.
Nah. All normal. Everyone.
Well. Normal for Pendraken.
As I learned in my time in Yorkshire," The 'ole world's queer 'cept me an' thee, an' I'm not too sure abaht thee!"
or, if you prefer an internet meme,
"Everybody is somebody else's weirdo."
:) :) :)
Welcome David :-h
Howdy!
Looking forward to seeing your ACW units...
Cheers,
Rob
