In between building more of Venice, I've got on with various projects I've had sitting around for a while. https://grahamsgaming.blogspot.com/2020/03/keeping-myself-busy.html?showComment=1585464736439#c6513497967387313039

You have been busy
:-bd =D> :-bd
We're lucky with our hobby that we can carry on almost as normal, so great to see you making the most of the situation :).
I've just had a look at your Streets of Venazia setup - amazing ! That's really good.
I assume you can re-configure the streets to suite (although the current setup seems
to have loads of possibilities).
Great stuff,
Phil
Impressive work Graham 8)
What I've been up to on the gaming front over the past week, apart from building more pavement sections for Venice. https://grahamsgaming.blogspot.com/2020/04/keeping-myself-busy-2.html

Those ARE splendid.
Those must have ben a nightmare to actually make.....(Trust me.....I wouldn't even think about doing those separated fingers....unless someone paid me stupid money)....And casting them ! ? ? :o :o :o......absolute nightmare.
Cheers - Phil
Superb!
As you have so much time on your hands perhaps I should post you some of mine to do ;D
:-bd =D> :-bd
The writing project sounds interesting ;)
Very nice Graham
Thank you chaps.
The undead gribblies came in a mixed bag of plastics I picked up on Ebay. I painted up the skeletons a while ago for the Frostrave Lich Lord campaign and stuck these in a drawer intending to do something with them "at some point".
paulr - Watch this space, an announcement will be following soon.
OK.....If those are plastics, the moulding makes a lot more sense now. :)

Those are mantic games undead, you can recognize them from their little integrated bases:
could be a mix of zombie (top frame) and ghoul parts (bottom frame)

A variety of different subjects this week :)
Nice one, Graham ! :-bd

Thank you chaps.
Unlike people like Orcs, I don't have much by way of complete armies awaiting painting (apart from 10mm FFL which was waiting for the Tuaregs to be finished before starting them), so I just randomly pick minis from the unpainted pile and give them a go. I've also picked up a host of odd "interesting" minis when I've seen them cheap, often thinking that they will come in useful someday! Now is the time to get paint on some of those as that way they stand a better chance of getting used for something! ;)

Twice, maybe, would be a conservative estimate.
I remarked to my sister once that if our mother won the lottery, she wouldn't even miss us, to which sister sadly assented. But Mummy reassured us that this was nonsense - of course she'd miss us....

But they are going to be on snow, Phil, but I might jazz them up a bit once I get the project fully underway.
The problem with this painting lark, my old brushes are dying and I'm running low on matt varnish. Oh well, just stuck an order in to Leon.

In between the painting and Venice building, I decided to dig out all my 28mm medieval/fantasy scenic stuff (just to remind myself of what I had).

I've lined the inserts with some of that non-slip drawer liner stuff. It can be cut to size with scissors.
Thanks - I think I might have some of that around.

Lovely work again and scary to think we're two months into lockdown.
Not many figures painted at all this week. I have been spending more time working on the new Sellswords & Spellslingers campaign book, and when I did get to the painting table I got distracted by some 1/300 ships! https://grahamsgaming.blogspot.com/2020/05/keeping-myself-busy-9.html

What about a "Lockdown project competition" - these "keeping ourselves busy" activities that involve figures and dioramas ?

Again not so much to show for this week, but I have finished my scenario book for Sellswords and Spellslingers! I've just got to make a final selection on some of the photos and I'll be sending it to the publisher this week! http://grahamsgaming.blogspot.com/2020/05/keeping-myself-busy-10.html

I really like that, is it Sarrisa? The red roof is great. A great addition to this project.
One little suggestion, perhaps add a strip of card to the ridge line of the roof, this will then hide the join of the MDF sheets, and also looks like the ridge tiles often seen on a roof too.

It's TTCombat. I must admit I was thinking along similar lines when I was looking at the pics on the blog.
Its very nice for a TT Combat building, they are normally functional and cheap, but all the extra columns and window decoration really add to it.
A bit of work on the roof usually works well for most MDF buildings, I've found a few strips of card (eg from cereal packets) can really add to the base building for very little effort.
:-bd =D> :-bd
A little bit of colour on some of the roof edges would also lift it
