We've added painted pictures to the website of (almost!) all of our ACW range! We just need to get the stagecoach done and then these are all done. We'd like to thank Rob Berends for his work on these, and also apologise for the length of time it's taken to get them photo'd!

Good photos of great painting of great figures :)
I note they were not on the Plans for 2020, several other ranges mentioned for Website Photos but not ACW ;D ;D ;D
Also you should check ACW56 Union artillery crew, aiming (16) and ACW58 Confederate artillery crew, aiming (16), they look to have been transposed #-o

Those are the correct codes/photos, it's kepi for Union and hats for Confeds. I think Rob has painted up a couple of sets in the opposing sides colours, just to show that you can mix and match them in your armies.

They probably should have been on there but I'd photo'd them before Christmas so they were technically a 2019 job!

Yep, the colours definitely threw me :)

Fair enough, now get some sleep
Superb
Wonderful painting of a great range of figures 8).
Terrific work by Rob B ! :-bd
Cheers - Phil
Very nice indeed - I applaud your on-going efforts to get good pictures of all your products online Leon......wish some other 6mm and 10mm manuafacters would follow suit.
That seige mortar (ACW60) looks like a serious piece of kit :)
Totally agree - Rob Berends did a great job. :-bd

Their loss. Having been burned once or twice when buying with no or inadequate pictures in the past, I no longer buy without seeing first.
p.s. ACW62: still think that when that wagon team suddenly stops, the driver is going to slide off! #-o ;D
Nice
Great work :-bd
Lovely - I have some of the Zouaves in Fez and Turbans for my French in Algeria forces

I think it's something we'll try and do for all of the ranges in the longer-term, but certainly the most popular ones in the short-term. WWI and WWII need to be our priorities next as those haven't had any pictures at all for too long now. It's a lot more expensive than blackwashing, but it certainly makes the figures look better!
But you should really stick to black wash with the 42nd Highlanders.

I see what you did there
Say "sir" when you address a Field Marshal, lad. ;)
No in your case its "Bad Cat"

Thanks for your compliments gentlemen!
I did indeed mix the colors on the artillery crews to show they could be used for both sides. They were a joy to paint as are all Pendraken figures to me.
Finally got some new 10mm stuff done for my own (have been side tracked by 'some' other projects for a while) so hopefully I'll be spending some more time with you all on this here forum too!
Cheers,
Rob
Hi
These figures and the painting look simply stunning. As ACW is probably my favourite periods, I'm just sad that I have already spent to much time and effort in creating 15mm armies.
Cheers Paul
Superb painting Rob.
I really enjoyed looking at what's possible on 10mm figures.
I then had 10 minutes to contemplate my comparative lack of painting skills.
Just stopped short of burning all my brushes.

I do ACW in 6, 10, 15, 20 and 28mm now... they all have their merits and uses!
Cheers,
Rob

Please don't! I appreciate the compliments but if it stops people having fun I'll withdraw my work from the public eye...
A fine brush, some washes and a pair of glasses are a good start; the will to improve and not be sattisfied to quickly will do the rest!
Cheers,
Rob
The work on those figures is just incredible- both the sculpting and the painting

Don't you dare, Rob !
I'm certain that Steve didn't mean that remotely seriously. :)
I'D like to be able to play the guitar like Hendrix or Clapton....Play keyboards like Keith Emerson.....or Rick Wakeman....and sculpt the wee men/animals like Tom Meir or Nick Bibby.
Cheers - Phil ;)

Don't worry, I quickly came to my senses.
I shall continue painting in my quick but "good enough for arm's length" style.
I'll admire the skills of you good folks with a talent for creating beautiful miniatures.
I must applaud this whole effort. Beautiful painting like this shows off the incredible skills of the sculptors, who produce works of art in this scale. I think the figures in greatcoats are breathtaking, the subtlety of the hang of the coats given life by the skill of the painter - Wow!

They look excellent Rob, and we've had a lot of positive responses on the social media as well. Thanks again for doing them!
There was a chap asking at the York show about what units the Zouaves were painted as, so for anyone else interested:
ACW17 - Zouaves in fez = 146th New York
ACW18 - Zouaves in fez = 76th Pennsylvania 'Keystone Zouaves'
ACW19 - Zouaves in kepi = 69th New Work; 'K' company 'Irish Zouaves'
ACW20 - Zouaves in kepi = 11th Indiana; 'Wallace's Zouaves' early war uniform
ACW21 - Zouaves in turban = 5th New York
ACW22 - Zouaves in straw hats = Louisiana Tiger Zouaves
