After a very successful Not-Kickstarter campaign to fund their design, we're very pleased to announce that our new 1809 Confederation states are now available! Covering Hesse-Darmstadt, Saxony, Warsaw and Wurttemberg, this group rounds out our 1809 ranges nicely.
As well as the figures we've also got flags for each state (courtesy of Tony Hughes) and we've also put together a handy starter pack for each range as well, to get you going with your new armies.

We'd like to thank Forum member Zippee for all of his help with the reference material for this range, we really appreciate his input and support on this project. Next up will be another treat for the Napoleonic gamers with a selection of casualty figures arriving in the next week or so. After that we'll be releasing our Indian Mutiny range!
:-bd =D> :-bd =D>
Those are fab
Bravo!
Great to see these released and looking forward to the Indian Mutiny range as well :)
Those look damn zippy !! :)
Cheers - Phil
Really glad to see these roll off the production line, although my paintbrush is wilting at the workload that's suddenly arrived !
Any inaccuracies are totally my responsibility - we had to make judegemnt calls on a number of things, all of which was complicated by Leon deciding to move ahead whilst I was in transit with barely any access to my library :o
Still I think we got there in the end and these codes really broaden the scope of the 1809 range
I think we may have cemented the precedant of how to get secondary ranges up and running, so all thos ecalling for Spanish and Peninsula stuff, you know what ya gotta do :D
Nah, those minor campaigns aren't worth it, should stick to the main fights, Buenos Aires anyone? ;)
As Zippee has generously taken any blame for mistakes in the figures, I suppose I should stand up and make a similar statement with regard to the flags (apart from the Duchy of Warsaw, of which I know nothing!). Sorry!

I see lots of Spaniards lurking among those Saxons and Hessians. Who do I throw money at to get a Peninsular range started?

I think if we use this Not-Kickstarter method again then the Peninsular would be the focus. There's a huge number of sculpts needed so we'd want to get an idea of their viability before we went ahead with it.
Or you could do Russians, even a modest number, and make it possible to do 1812-14.
You really don't need much for the infantry. At 10mm the uniform for all types of infantry are identical, only the head dress varies: plume or no plume (leaving out the Pavlov grenadiers).
2 march attack and 2 firing in each would let you do Line, Jaeger, Grenadier and Guard - 8 sculpts, all basically one uniform. Could do greatcoats in the same poses...
I have used the old sculpt command for units made with other manufacturers, so you could just stop at that, and already field nearly every unit. An additional command set of 3 would give command variety.
Add 2 Pavlov grenadiers march attack (same uniform as line but with mitres) and 2 Opolochenie with pikes (ok their uniforms are different but simple) and that would be the entire infantry.
But I guess there might be reluctance to field infantry only. Still 8 sculpts of the one uniform would be all that is currently needed.
i think it would make more sense to target the Peninsular as the logical follow up to the 1809 rather than switching to 1812+, that will need to be the focus of a subsequent campaign ;)
I can't take the lead on Peninsular shennanigans and will have only marginal personal interest
but it needs:
a) British range (line, highlanders, hussars, dragoons and heavies, foot artillery) although I think some 1815 bits can be repurposed (rifles, horse artillery?)
b) Portugeuse (line, light, cavalry, artillery) not sure how much they differ in detail from their British bankrollers
c) Spanish, early versions so lots of variety (line, light, volunteers, guerillos, light, heavy, artillery)
d) French - limited small addition of 'German / Spencer' short-tail tunic wearing infantry for allied contingents
John and others can add detail to that i'm sure (much of it is probably tied up in the various "for the love of god give me Spanish" threads stewn across the forum
it's a big chunk but it is probably the most popular sub-period within Napoleonics so it should generate interest (and finacial backing) just not from me :D
Oh and it certainly needs its own dedicated thread
Well that could have gone better..
Peninsula it seems to be.
i'll stick a couple of quid in for a Peninsular non kickstarter :)
Am sure that the Peninsula sculpts will be excellent!

Hi Leon, If you made a Peninsular range as part of your 1809 suite, and confined it to that year, I reckon you'd need no more than 13 new types sculpted. No more of a challenge than the 1809 German allies. I'd certainly be happy to commit £500 as a start.
Here is my list and what is already available. Is it worth starting a separate thread to test the water? I'd certainly be happy to commit £500 as a start.
French
1809 range – No new figures or modifications necessary.
French German Allies
Nassau Infantry – 1815 Range
Grand Duchy of Warsaw Infantry – 1809 Range
Vistula Legion Lancer – 1809 Range Duchy of Warsaw Uhlans
Baden Infantry – New Figure. A generic 'Rhinebund' figure in shako and short jacket but the Dutch Line Infantry from the 1815 range are almost there I think.
Kingdom of Holland Infantry – As above.
Hesse Darmstadt Infantry – As above.
Frankfurt Infantry– As above.
Vistula Legion Infantry – As above.
British
British Infantry in Stovepipe shako – 1815 range.
Rifles – 1815 range.
Highlanders – 1815 range.
Hussars – 1815 range. Note - No standard needed Hussars never carried them.
Royal Horse Artillery – 1815 range.
Foot Artillery in Stovepipe shako – New figure
Light Dragoon in Tarleton helmet – New figure
Dragoons in Bicornes – New figure
Spanish
Line Infantry – New figure but the Hesse Darmstadt and Saxon infantry from the 1809 range are almost there.
Line Infantry Grenadier – New figure
Light Infantry – New figure
Line Cavalry/Dragoons – New figure
Hussars – New figure
Cazadores – New figure
Garrochistas – New figure
Horse Artillery – New figure
Artillery – New figure. Usually ox drawn
Would AWB45, AWI light dragoons in tarleton, not serve for some of these? Excellent piccie in the catalogue.
Looks better all the time!
Even though I have no interest in the Peninsula Campaign, I would make a lot of use of the:
Baden Infantry – New Figure. A generic 'Rhinebund' figure in shako and short jacket but the Dutch Line Infantry from the 1815 range are almost there I think.
Here is hoping that this project gets off the ground.

It's definitely something for us to look at closer but it wouldn't be until the end of the year at the earliest. We're working hard at the moment to get the sculpting drawers emptied and everything released, so I'd want to do that before we commit to any other projects. Once we're ready, we can have a chat about a comprehensive range for the Brits, Spanish and potentially Portuguese, to get it all ticked off and done properly.
OK Leon, Your call. Remember that some of your customers are not in the first flush. As I entered my 73rd year in April, I am even more aware of my own mortality! So, sooner rather than later would be good :)
