Welcome to the forum Raph.
Best part of thirty years since I was in Lyon but I have fond memories of it.
I hope you enjoy your time here as much as I enjoyed my time there :)
Salut Raph! :-h
Welcome to the forum, Raph!
Hope you'll post pics soon, would really like to see what your Rocroi looks like, great period.
Welcome to the madhouse, we don't bite ;) (or at least most of us don't, I'm not sure about Nobby when he's hungry). :d
Welcome to the Forum!

Welcome. Not many have teeth so the biting doesn't hurt much!

Hello and welcome
Bienvenue Raph. Last in Lyon September 2011 - what a fantastic public transport system, free zoo and Roman theatre. My son even bought an OL shirt. And we went all the way from Liverpool by train! Hope you enjoy the silliness on this forum. Bon chance, Andy.
Thanks ... Well to provide from being Bitten I'll keep my full armor even for sleeping :-bd
This is a little preview of my 1643 Pendraken armies : Francisco De Melo, the spanish army commander in Rocroi...

C'est magnifique!
Hello Ralph, and a lovely vignette.
Very cool painting
Very, very nice work, indeed !! :-bd
Cheers - Phil
Great looking command piece! Like the modifications you did to make the religious procession complete with icon. Nice!
That's rather nice!
Can you share the figure codes, as I don't recognise several. .
Thanks !
@Fred : as D_Guy noted figures are widely modified :
- The priest is a EC2 "unarmoured pike"
- The kneeling soldier is a EC8 "peasant"
- De Melo is a EC1 "General" (this figure has almost not been modified)
- Processionning soldiers are EC24 "Petard and crew"
- Bannermen are EC2 "Unarmoured pike"
That is superb!
Hello Ralph.
Welcome to the Forum.
I have just been looking at your list of interests - many of which I share.
Which bit of WWII do you study? Also, which Dark Age armies?
Well ... I'm a very big fan of WW2, I painted almost all existing armies in 28mm and 15mm for Bolt Action and Chain of Command, in 10mm I'm looking for 1940 armies.
My favoirite Dark Ages armies are Saxon, Viking and Normans for a 1066 campaign.
Lovely model of the Spanish general. Thanks for the information on codes as I am currently building some 10mm TYW stuff.

Thanks. I see the petard crew now, and the priest, although you have done a lot of work to him.

Excelent period of WW" they have lots of interesting armies.
I have Poles, Belgians and BEF for 1940. Early war Russian and German (up to siege of Moscow). I will shortly be Japanese for Russo Japanese, as well as for Burma.
