Having taken the decision to not stray away from 10mm to do Desmond's and Tyrone's Rebellions, I have commissioned Techno to do twelve figures. They are not quite finished but here is a first look:

The Pikemen above will be cast openhanded

These will ultimately end up in Pendraken's range along with Dave's Elizabeathans (presumably).
More details on the above photos are here:

Nicely done sir! 8) Good work Techno. :D
Oooh!! Tasty!!
Well done Phil. And well done d_Guy.
Very nice work there, you can be proud of those ones Techno.
Hmmmm...conversion potential for Burgunds....they do look ra-ther spiffing...
Well done both!
I can see a number of uses for these!
Nice work from Phil there!

The Elizabethans are staying with Dave as he's wanting to raise some funds to get more figures made, so nothing to do with Pendraken for the foreseeable.

Thanks for that clarification on Dave's Elizabeathans.
Just saw your blog report on these little beauties, really nice figures. :)
Those are bl**dy lovely!
Those are excellent! Great job Techno. :-bd
Lovely work
Lot of character in those wee guys! Excellent work.
Thank you 'lots' chaps ! :-[
Bill sent me wonderful reference material, which has helped enormously.
I should have them all completely finished today. (Famous last words. X_X)..There's very little to do, now....So, unless something goes wrong.... :-SS :-SS :-SS
Then it's on to some animals for Minibits (Nothing 'new', just making some bigger versions for larger "30mm" figures, and some more of Xerxes 'mob'. ;)
I've really enjoyed doing these...and Dave's Elizabethans.....I must just particularly like 'the look' of the 'garb' from this era for some reason.
The only thing that's 'vexed' me has been trying to get the wee chaps really in focus, when I take the photo's. (They look spot on in the view finder !)
I've even been using the tripod and the remote shutter release on the camera...and they still don't look sharp to me. :'(
I'll try sending Bill individual pics of the finished article and see if THOSE looks any better.
Cheers - Phil
Begorrah and bejabbers, Phil! =D>
like these, some awesome choppers being waved about
Now they are the sort of figures that would tempt me into Elizabeth's wars, especially as Furioso has lists for both the later Elizabethans and the Irish. Nice one Phil, and excellent commission Bill. :-bd
Oi can't help thinking dat by now (21st century) they moight be needin' crutches and all....
Oh dear, thank goodness it wasn't a range of Tin Tin in the Congo!

They are nice, Bill - good commission, and cracking work Techno!
It was exciting to be able to do this and it was a pleasuring working with Phil and watching his skillfull interpretations. Thanks for all the comments!
Techno did finish yesterday and I've been mucking about with the pictures. There are now individual shots of each figure now on blog:

But here a a few shots of some of the later ones in more finished form:

I suppose I must have got the photo's sharper this time, if the figures can be enlarged up to anything approaching 10 times actual size, with looking totally out of focus. <:-P
Cheers - Phil
Superb chaps
Lovely stuff :-bd
Do you know.....?
WHEN I have some spare time...(HAH)...I think I'm going to 'blag' a set of these, and Dave's Elizabethans and paint them up.
There are quite a lot of others that I'd like to paint....Sometime, Never. =)
Thanks for the positive feed back on these....and thanks to Bill for the work ;) and his help !!
Cheers - Phil ;)
There's lovely!
