Well having been out of the Pendraken forum and Painting 10mm I thought I had better restart both.
My Mongols have been sitting there for at least two years, probably more... so after a quick paint of the Amazon's (I wanted to make sure I could still see the minis) I made a start on my Mongols.
https://bogenwaldblog.wordpress.com/2018/10/08/mongol-horses/
All of my 10mm work is tagged on my blog, but there is plenty of other stuff there to have a mooch at too.
I tend to add to my blog every day, but I will keep the updates here to a minimum.
The Mongols still have a long way to go as these are only the light cavalry and command stands.
A good start :)
Looking good boss
Good job. :)
Cheers - Phil
A bit more done tonight
https://bogenwaldblog.wordpress.com/2018/10/09/mongol-horses-ii/
Nice stuff, M. :)
I liked the tale of the 'strange figure'. ;)
Cheers - Phil
Looking good
Take care
Andy
Tonight I am going to have to scan my heavy and Medium cavalry to see if Ghengis and Jebei are hiding amongst them.
A smidge more done tonight, three different colours for the tunicss.
https://bogenwaldblog.wordpress.com/2018/10/10/mongol-cavalry-ii/
I never did look for Ghengis!
Those are coming together nicely :)
I think we all go through the "those all look crap" stage, it is surprising how rapidly that can change once you start to add details

Very true :-bd
I managed to do socks and blazes on the horses tonight. I was too tired to do anything else. But a teeny amount of progress is still progress
Great to see you making steady progress :). Even 30 minutes a night can make a difference and at least you feel you have done something gaming related :).
Thanks everyone for their kind comments.
A bit more done this evening.

Coming on very nicely
Take care
Andy
Coming together really well :)
I'd suggest doing the bridles and straps you'll regret not doing them later ;)
A bit more done tonight...
Slow progress but progress none the less...
https://bogenwaldblog.wordpress.com/2018/10/14/mongol-cavalry-vi/
Detail slows progress but makes a real difference to the look ;) :)

Very true!
Nice!
Great to see you're steady progress and they look great to boot 8)
Cheers guys, much appreciated.
I managed to paint the swords tonight as I went to see the Predator. Hopefully tomorrow will be more productive.
Today was indeed more productive:

:-bd =D> :-bd
Definitely coming together :)
Looking good ! :)
Cheers - Phil

Thanks everyone,
I finished the base on the light cavalry ... and made a start on the mediums.
https://bogenwaldblog.wordpress.com/2018/10/17/light-cavalry-finished/
:o very bright, I suspect it will be better once you shake off the excess ;)
Looking great
Cool that is a proper horde of mongols.
You seem to have done these very speedily!
Very nice indeed
Take care
Andy
Nice work!
And yeah, those TB lines are tempting.
You have been industrious!
Nice work and keep on painting and basing!
Super work, M :)
Cheers - Phil
Medium Cavalry are Finished. The flag was caused by some knacker severing a hand! It was easier to make a flag with a pin and Greenstuff than a 10mm hand.

I am taking a short break from 10mm for a while as I need to paint up a 15mm HOTT Conquistador army for a tournament on 19th November.
Posts on those shenanigans are on the blog too
Looking good.
:-bd =D> :-bd
Nice work once again 8)
Thanks everyone
Yep great work
Take care
Andy
My HOTT troops are finished, but tonight I started on the Stronghold and built up areas.
https://bogenwaldblog.wordpress.com/2018/10/31/building-tenochtitlan/
I think the temple would work with 10mm and be rather imposing. I will have to check.
Very nice chap
:-bd =D> :-bd
Looking good !
Cheers - Phil
Thanks everyone for the kind comments.
A bit more done on the temples.

Pyramids are looking good, you've moved well away from the ruin look you often see :)
I'm impressed by the leaves and creepers =D> =D> =D>
Great work on those pyramids 8)

Thanks guys,
My initial thought was to add vine# and creepers etc, but as I have an Aztec army, then it seemed weird to make them ruined.
I wanted a different base for the Lurkers than sand and flock. These are meant to hide in rough terrain, hence the leaves etc.
Love the last shot
Been busy of late, amazingly I won the tournament in both points and then for the best stronghold. Came second in the themed army too. So all in all quite chuffed!
I also started on my Dark Future Vehicles, this is the latest post in a few if them...
https://bogenwaldblog.wordpress.com/2018/11/17/dark-future-motorcycles/
Once these are done it is back to my 10mm Mongols.
Nice work, 'M' !
The other shots are terrific, too !!
When I get a nice sunrise, or sunset, over here.....I get the same 'bleaching' (?) effect, if I take a piccy....'Cos I can't be bothered to set the camera up 'properly'.
I just mess around with one of the progs on the PC, until I get as close to possible on what I actually saw, and save that.
Cheers - Phil
But it's always raining in Wales !!!
No......Only 80% of the time.
When it's 'nice' here.....You couldn't imagine a more perfect place than where Von and I live.
When it's not. X_X X_X X_X X_X X_X
I suppose we have to be very thankful that we don't get the truly awful forest fires that are happening 'over the pond', at the mo.....
'Jeepers'. :(
Phil.
=D> =D> =D>
Cheers guys....
I seem to be forgetting to come on here, that is my aim.... try and see what's happening at least once a day.
This is my latest caper...
https://bogenwaldblog.wordpress.com/2018/12/01/a-ghostly-bride/
Nice !
Cheers - Phil
Very good and the touch of colour from the roses really works well :)
Pretty awesome.
Very nice indeed
Take care
Andy
Cheers everyone :-*
Some forgotten forces to use with my 10mm Sudan troops...
https://bogenwaldblog.wordpress.com/2018/12/07/fridays-forgotten-forces-2/
Nice figs and pics!* :-bd

Top work
Very nice! What red paint do you use? (looks like gw khorne red or mephiston red but i'll probably be wrong ;D )
:-bd =D> :-bd
Very nice, once again, M
Cheers - Phil
Looking good! Love the colonial uniforms!

Army painter Dragon red, with a highlight of AP pure red.
You were pretty close you used the word red in both ideas. So half marks 😉
Cheers guys, much appreciated. One day I will get back and finish them.
Since then I have been working on various 28mm minis.
These are the latest.
https://bogenwaldblog.wordpress.com/2018/12/17/nursey-ready-for-action/
I have also done a pile of Orc rifles and a ghoul officer.
I will try and get back to my 10mm soon. I have some mongol heavy cavalry, not to mention infantry and civilians to paint up so that the whole force is done.
Very nice work on those.
Thanks Will
Great fun, great work ! :)
Cheers - Phil
Looks good

Andy
Some characterful stuff there 8)
Cheers everyone,
Tonight I managed to complete this little chap, start to finish in about an hour and a bit.
https://bogenwaldblog.wordpress.com/2018/12/18/meriadoc-brandybuck/
:-bd =D> :-bd
That was quick :)
Wot Paul, sed. :)
Cheers - Phil
Nice one!
I have recently received the pippin in armour, still looking for merry!
Very nice 8)
Which Pippin/Merry are you after?
Merry, the one he painted!
actually one of the two Merrys in his rohan armour (there is one with shield and one without shield)
i have this armoured pippin but missing that merry:
there is also this merry (wich is good as well, cheaper points wise!)
I probably have one of those, shout if you want it!
I have the Pippin mini somewhere too, just not sure where....
I actually bought pippin, mounted saruman and cirion 2nd hand last month from Joseph McCullough. Took me about 3 weeks to realize that he's the author of frostgrave ;D
I know the name on the paypal account sounded familiar. :P

I thought I had better come back and see what everyone has been up to...
I managed a bit more on my elves this evening. I have been struggling with these for ages, it's not the miniatures, I think it is my mind set. That and playing with the 3D printer too much.
