Car boot sale. I spied a Micro -machines bridge set - and forked out a £5. The set itself appealed to me as you press a button and it is "blown" -If I attack with a saw and file, I can have a nice 10mm scale bit of scenery. Bridges over vital river crossings always make for a good game.
Anyway, got it home, and discovered a few bits and bobs - mostly vehicles. Some tanks and APCs - a bit "fit the box" - the Scorpion tank is way too big, but not far from 1/144 scale. Also a petrol tanker and a trailer - the latter might be convertible to a tank transporter.
What gets me is the accuracy of the sculpts ! The detail on the LVTP-7 (for a small plastic toy aimed at the kid market) is staggering.
What's the story behind these very accurate sculpts ? :o
