We played it, I lost. Read it all and watch the video (plus a forgotten video for the game we played of the Battle of Chickamauga)

Nice one KT. That made an interesting read and watch. I wonder what the modern world would be like if that had really been the result.
Jospeh Miranda did a great article in Strategy and Tactics were he did a good job dissenting the options Lee had in the Gettysburg campaign, and laying forth why a victory of the magnitude to lead to an end of the war would had been hard to get. Probabilistic speaking a Confederate victory that did not eliminate the Army of the Potomoc (annihilation battles being hard to pull off in the ACW) you probably would had a result similar to Second Bull Run. Only this time Lee would be even more cut off from his lines of communication. Again there is always the stochastic factor, but from a hard look, a marginal tactical victory would not had impacted the strategic or operational situation.
Great reports. Buford was the real hero...
Super stuff, Konstantinos !

Thanks, Konstantinos! Gettysburg is such a classic; no wargaming career is complete without having played it.

Just ordered more 3mm figures. Looks like some of the troops at Gettysburg will have to have been bussed in from the west.
Enjoyed your video report, KT (although my wife, on over hearing, thought I was watching Despicable Me ... *sorry* :-[ ). The "still" photographs were also good. :-bd
